This was sent to me recently by a friend who happens to be a health care provider. She found it making the rounds on
the net and I still am unable to stop laughing whenever I see it. I don't know the origin or the genius behind it but I
like it.

well the government has been making everyone bend over for decades now, just obama seems a bit more intent on it.

For today's spoil:

President Barack Obama will usher in the last act of his push to overhaul the $2.5 trillion (1.66 trillion pound) U.S. healthcare system on Wednesday by arguing that his retooled plan, incorporating more ideas from rival Republicans, is essential to the good of the country.

I was told today that PETA added something to the healthcare bill. If the healthcare bill passes, hunting and fishing will be abolished in this country! These people are crazy. I have a hard time believing that it would pass with that added, since so many officials hunt and fish. But I guess they can afford to go off shore to fish and overseas to hunt. And they say, don't know this to be fact, they are working on getting amnesty for all government officials. Anyone else hear this?

Peta-I think they need to shut the hell up.
What they fail to realize is that the nations have had
an understanding that we would accord our fourlegged brothers
respect and honor and they in turn would offer themselves to
sustain us.
We used every portion of their bodies to not only feed
and clothe ourselves but to fashion a variety of implements,
even down to bow strings and ladles from horns.
No doubt Peta would say our beliefs are primitive superstitions,
and while I condemn the abuse of animals I see no condemnation
on their behalf for the ongoing "hunt" known as genocide.

what the heck does PETA have to do with healthcare reform???

there is one other very important rider attached to that national health care bill as well... it is the the appropriations measure for healthcare reform in indian country as well. if that bill fails we go back to getting tylenol and a ace bandage for everything that makes us sick... like say for instance substandard housing with black mold growing.... commodity foods... lack of proper nutrition... lack of proper clothing... lack of electricty and clean potable water to cook and bathe in.
the powers that be decided when the democrats had a majority to attach this indian health care reform rider to the national health care bill. now that the republican spin doctors and tea pearty people have scared the people of the united states the passage of the national health care reform seems remote. and with it the money that would have allowed for better treatment and prevention of diseases that afflict indian country.

Literally reams and reams of paper required to write this so called
Healthcare bill with politicians doing what they do best-trying to
get their name affixed to something.
I have read small portions of it and it boggles the mind to see
the double dealing, favoritism, and subterfuge employed. The
catch phrase now is that it isn't perfect but it will be "fixed"
after passage.
Fixed? Like IHS, Medicare, No Child Left Behind, or the Veteran's
Administration health care programs? Someday people across the
board will realize that if they are going to tether themselves to
the government for their needs they will have to settle for second
best or whatever crumbs get tossed their way. They will also
realize that no company, i.e. pharma and the like, will allow anything
that decreases profits, and anything that looks like a rollback on
paper will not only be made up in another way, but in all likelihood
will increase as well.
To that end since THE ONE has taken office there had been a
14% increase in lobbyists on Capital Hill. 14%-so much for the
fallacy of open and transparent government.
Unlike the government the common people cannot live on IOU's or
deficit spending, neither can they enact new taxes like the hundred
plus now under review, or print money as needed.
We have no input into policy or decisions and I am left to puzzle
over the ignorance of those voting blocs who do that must certainly
by now have some understanding that despite all the rhetoric and
empty promises that they are in some ways as captive as we are.
The bottom line is that as the costs of this escalate and new taxes
are enacted in a vain attempt to keep cover it there will be program
cuts and scaling back. That will translate to whatever increases in
funding we may obtain having considerably less bang for the
buck as they say.
I think it should be obvious to people as well that increased taxes
and "creative" new fees (like the banks) will offset any "savings" they
are being told they will have-not to mention even more government
intrusion and information gathering.
The more I see people line up along party lines and hurl invectives
at each other the more I think the countries name and motto should
be changed from America, the land of the free-to Gumpland, stupid
is as stupid does.
